Allan Duarte Manhas is a brazilian prize-winning concert pianist. He has been perfoming in Europe, USA and South America. Born in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, he studied in his hometown at University of São Paulo, under Prof. Fernando Corvisier, later earning the Master’s Degree (minor conducting) and Konzert Examen from the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, under Prof. Marco Antonio de Almeida. Further studies followed at the Fondation Bell'arte-ICPA (Belgium), under the Nelson Delle-Vigne (École Normale).
Allan Manhas has attended masterclasses with numerous acclaimed artists and has won prizes in competitions in South America and Europe. He has been performing as a soloist and a conductor with traditional orchestras and choirs mainly in Germany, USA and Brazil.
After several years as an Associate Lecturer at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, he developed an extensive pedagogical activity in various musical institutions in Germany, specially in Berlin. He has been oft invited to Masterclasses and Festivals in Europe, USA and Brazil. Since 2024 he is Head of the Department for Pre-College Studies and Talent Fostering in the Leo-Borchard-Music-School in Berlin. In 2025 he published his début album "American Preludes: 20th-Century Piano Music of the Americas" (Da Vinci Classics) with music by M. Ponce, H. Villa-Lobos, A. Ginastera and J. Coulthard.
